Beverly emmons archive ASSISTANT

The process for this started through my professor at NYU who said she had an opportunity available and was thinking of me. I was very excited, because if you don’t know who Beverly Emmons is, she’s a very popular and famous lighting designer who’s done incredible work for about 65 years.

The nature of the work was somewhat physical, to say the least. Carrying 65 years worth of paperwork up 3 flights of stairs in Brooklyn during the middle of the summer was certainly a workout. We then took these boxes of paperwork, organized them by year and show, and then by the end of the summer were figuring out the next steps for the paperwork.

Unfortunately, my academic schedule didn’t allow for me to continue the internship into the fall semester, but if the project is still in progress post-pandemic, I hope to jump back into it.
