WorldStage inc

I worked in the Research & Development department and the Lighting department during my internship with WorldStage. In R&D I worked mostly on VectorWorks drafting and preparing drawings for projection mapping, but I also worked with the jib and β€œthe cube.” This was a fun experience because I was learning how what we see on screens can be different than what is actually in a real-life studio space. In the Lighting department, I worked more on administrative tasks, such as cutting out papers or delivering communications between departments. However, the one larger task I had during my internship was to communicate the plans for the NEXT Demo, which is shown in the video above. I helped to organize this event and worked on a number of the displays, which was very exciting. The day of the event, I helped with guest check-in, and I also got to take a look around and see how it all came together. I think fondly of my time with WorldStage and think I gained a better understanding of project manager jobs within the entertainment industry, and learned how shops work to put together lighting packages.
